by Colin Jordan (Author)

National Socialism: Vanguard of the Future is a collection of selected writings by Colin Jordan (1923–2009), a British political activist, writer, and one of the leading figures in post-war National Socialist thought in the United Kingdom. A former schoolteacher educated at Cambridge University, Jordan became active in far-right politics in the 1950s and founded the National Socialist Movement in 1962 (later reorganized as the British Movement). He advocated a pan-Aryan form of National Socialism and maintained involvement in nationalist and neo-Nazi circles for over four decades.
The book, first published in 1993, compiles eleven essays divided into three sections. It discusses Adolf Hitler and core National Socialist principles, critiques Strasserites and “Hollywood Nazis,” addresses topics such as Richard Walther Darré’s ideas on agriculture and ecology, and examines the circumstances of Rudolf Hess’s death. The writings outline the philosophical foundations of National Socialism, its relation to contemporary issues, and practical considerations for political organization and the pursuit of power.
A primary source collection of postwar National Socialist thought, National Socialism: Vanguard of the Future offers direct insight into Colin Jordan’s ideological perspectives for readers interested in 20th-century political extremism, far-right theory, and National Socialist philosophy after 1945.
